Analisa Pengaruh Pemasangan Interceptor Terhadap Hambatan Kapal Crew Transfer Melalui Simulasi Computational Fluid Dynamic

Peningkatan ladang eksplorasi lepas pantai yang semakin menjamur, membuat kebutuhan moda transportasi laut yang super efisien ikut meroket. Kuncinya cuma satu yaitu dengan mengurangi hambatan pada lambung kapal. Langkah ini sangat krusial demi menekan biaya operasional sekaligus menghemat bahan bakar. Salah satu trik paling murah meriah adalah memodifikasi area transom memakai sistem interceptor. Hidrodinamika kapal bisa langsung naik kelas tanpa perlu repot-repot membongkar struktur utama lambung aslinya. Penelitian ini sengaja mengulik dan membandingkan total hambatan serta karakter gaya angkat dinamis pada kapal crew transfer, baik saat kondisi tanpa interceptor maupun ketika dipasangi pelat interceptor pada bagian buritan. Pengujian dilakukan lewat simulasi digital berbasis Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), sedangkan model geometri 3D kapal dirancang menggunakan software CAD. Ada tiga konfigurasi yang dianalisis secara runtut: tanpa interceptor, posisi interceptor 50% (h = 25 mm), dan interceptor 100% (h = 50 mm). Semuanya dioperasionalkan pada kecepatan dinas 26, 28, dan 30 knot. Dari data simulasi, pelat interceptor terbukti ampuh mengurangi hambatan kapal (drag) secara konsisten. Di sisi lain, gaya angkat pada buritan juga melonjak drastis. Saat dioperasionalkan pada kecepatan di 30 knot, setelan pelat 100% keluar sebagai jawaranya dengan performa paling optimal. Hambatan total kapal berkurang sebesar 11,61% dan gaya angkat buritan kapal meroket hingga 137,64%. Bahkan saat berjalan di kecepatan 26 knot pun, pelat yang keluar penuh tetap bisa mengurangi hambatan kapal sampai 6,20% sekaligus mendongkrak gaya angkat hingga 131,98%.
