Abstrak

Perkembangan media sosial telah memengaruhi cara mahasiswa Gen Z dalam mengakses dan memanfaatkan informasi pembelajaran. Instagram, sebagai salah satu platform yang paling populer di kalangan mahasiswa, kini digunakan tidak hanya untuk hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai sarana belajar yang fleksibel, visual, dan mudah diakses. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Amikom Purwokerto mengintegrasikan Instagram dalam kegiatan pembelajaran mereka. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, melibatkan 15 partisipan dari tiga program studi. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dan observasi digital, kemudian dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memanfaatkan Instagram untuk mengakses, menyimpan, dan membagikan materi kuliah melalui fitur seperti reels, carousel, story, dan hashtag. Meskipun demikian, terdapat tantangan berupa distraksi dari konten non-akademik dan validitas informasi yang belum terjamin. Faktor pendorong utama dalam penggunaan Instagram sebagai media pembelajaran meliputi kemudahan akses, pengaruh teman sebaya, serta penyajian konten yang menarik dan sesuai dengan gaya belajar visual mahasiswa. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Instagram telah menjadi bagian dari strategi belajar informal mahasiswa dan memiliki potensi untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran jika digunakan secara bijak dan terarah.
